From Fortune 500 relocations to a booming tourism sector, Nashville has transformed into one of the most dynamic cities in America. But what comes next? As growth pressures mount, the region faces urgent questions about infrastructure, affordability, and opportunity. Jeff Hite has been a key figure in this transformation, and now he offers an inside look at how Nashville can harness its momentum for the benefit of all residents.
Join the Green Hills Rotary Club at 7:15 a.m. on August 28, 2025, at the Boy Scout Service Center for a presentation by Jeff Hite, Chief Economic Development Officer at the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. Hite has spent more than two decades shaping the region’s economic growth, helping Nashville earn its title as the “It City” from the Wall Street Journal.
As a native Nashvillian and senior vice president of economic development since 2014, Hite has led a team charged with attracting and expanding businesses across the 10-county region. He works closely with CEOs, community leaders, and regional partners to promote Nashville as a top destination for business investment and relocation. His work has contributed directly to the city’s rise as a national hub of commerce, culture, and innovation.
Hite has also served on the boards of the Tennessee Economic Partnership, NAIOP Nashville Chapter, and the Greater Nashville Technology Council. He has twice been named one of North America’s top 50 economic developers and brings a deep understanding of both the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for Middle Tennessee.
Whether you are curious about future development, concerned about sustainability, or simply want to understand the forces shaping your city, come to this informative conversation.
