Marriage is one of the most meaningful commitments many of us will ever make, yet it is also one of the most complex. In a world filled with constant demands, shifting expectations, and daily stressors, maintaining a strong relationship requires intention, insight, and sometimes a sense of humor. What happens when a seasoned counselor and a professional performer combine their perspectives to explore both the science and the joy of lasting partnership?
Join Bill and Marie Bellet at the Green Hills Rotary meeting on February 20, 2026, at 7:15 a.m. at the Boy Scout Service Center on Hillsboro Road for a thoughtful and entertaining presentation titled “The Psychology of Marriage by a Shrink and a Singer.”
Bill Bellet is a marriage and family psychologist whose clinical work focuses on strengthening communication and guiding families through complex relational challenges. He holds a Doctorate in Clinical and Consulting Psychology from Vanderbilt University. In addition to his clinical practice, Bellet previously served as Vice President and General Manager for HCA, leading Operations and Business Development for Europe and Southeast Asia. He is a skilled facilitator of the family communication process and brings decades of professional and personal experience to the topic of enduring partnership.
Marie Bellet is a singer and songwriter known for her authentic Americana “housewife songs.” A lone voice calling for a return to family in the midst of a lonely world, she writes music that steps away from the distractions of pop culture and focuses on sacrificial love, resilience, and renewal. Over the years, she has sold more than 40,000 CDs independently and has brought her pro-family message to organizations and apostolates across the country.
Opposites in personality and profession, Bill and Marie Bellet have been married for 38 years and have raised nine children together. Their presentation promises both practical insight and refreshing humor, offering guidance on how to make marriage work while remembering to laugh along the way.
