A healthy smile is more than just an aesthetic asset—it is a foundation for confidence, communication, nutrition, and dignity. But what if you could not afford one? What if dental pain kept you from working, or your child from learning? Dr. Rhonda Switzer-Nadasdi invites us to look beyond toothbrushes and toothpaste, and ask: what does it mean to create equitable access to care, and why does it matter for all of us?
Join the Green Hills Rotary Club for a compelling presentation by Dr. Rhonda Switzer-Nadasdi, CEO of Interfaith Dental, on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 7:15 AM at the Boy Scout Service Center on Hillsboro Road. Her talk, Interfaith Dental – A Smile Changes Everything, will explore the broader implications of oral health and what it means to foster wellness in our communities through compassionate dental care.
Dr. Switzer-Nadasdi has devoted her entire career to serving vulnerable populations through dentistry. A graduate of the University of Manitoba College of Dentistry, she completed her general practice residency at the VA hospital in Louisville before leading dental initiatives in underserved areas, including a remote fly-in health center in sub-arctic Churchill, Manitoba, and government clinics in Hamilton, Bermuda.
Since 1995, Dr. Switzer-Nadasdi has led Interfaith Dental from a two-chair clinic in a church basement to two comprehensive facilities in Nashville and Murfreesboro, delivering over 8 million dollars in dental care to more than 4,200 patients annually across a ten-county region. Under her leadership, Interfaith Dental has also developed and manages a statewide program for low-income older adults.
She currently chairs the Tennessee Alliance of Oral Health Advocates and has served nationally on the American Dental Association’s Council on Advocacy for Access and Prevention. Her board appointments include the Tennessee Dental Association, Center for Nonprofit Excellence, Tennessee Charitable Care Network, Safety Net Consortium of Middle Tennessee, and the Tennessee Center for Health Workforce and Development. She was also appointed by Governor Lee to a special task force on oral health access.
A 2023 Nashville Health Care Council Fellow, Dr. Switzer-Nadasdi is a member of the Nashville Downtown Rotary Club, a former State Women’s Senior Amateur golf champion, and the proud mother of two sons.
This meeting will challenge you to consider the deeper role oral health plays in community well-being—and what it looks like when access to care becomes a shared civic responsibility.
