On Friday, January 23, 2025, at 7:15 am, the Green Hills Rotary Club Meeting at the Boy Scout Service Center on Hillsboro Road will host Scott Ramsay, CEO of the Nashville Sports Council. Come hear him talk about high-profile events such as the Music City Bowl, St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series, Music City Gran Prix, SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament, and many others. A graduate of Old Dominion University, where he attended on a golf scholarship, Ramsey has over 30 years of experience in the sports marketing industry. Scott is currently responsible for the day-to-day activities for both the Nashville Sports Council and the Music City Bowl. As a result of his leadership, Scott was named Nashvillian of the year in 1998 by the Kiwanis Club of Nashville. He served as national Chairman of the Football Bowl Association for 2007 & 2008 and served on its Executive Committee for 16 years. In 2003, the Nashville Sports Council was named the National Sports Commission of the Year by the membership of the National Association of Sports Commissions. In 2019, the Sports Business Journal named Nashville as the Sports City of Year. During Scott’s tenure with the Nashville Sports Council and Music City Bowl, the organizations have combined to deliver over $1.2 billion economic impact, hundreds of hours of national television coverage and recruited and staged nearly 240 sporting events in middle Tennessee.
