Teresa Davidson — Executive Director, Mid-South Liver Alliance

Estimates are that 1 in 4 Americans have fatty liver disease. While 4.5 million US adults have been diagnosed with liver disease, It is estimated that 80-100 million adults in the US have fatty liver disease and don’t realize they have it. Chronic liver disease is marked by the gradual destruction of liver tissue over time and includes cirrhosis and fibrosis of the liver.   

Teresa Davidson is the Executive Director of the Mid-South Liver Alliance located in Nashville, Tennessee.  Mid-South Liver Alliance is committed to improving, educating, advocating, and supporting children, adults, and families impacted by Chronic liver Disease in the mid-South states of TN, AL, MS, AR, LA, and KY. Prior to becoming the ED for the Mid-South Liver Alliance, Ms. Davidson served as a National Engagement Director South for the American Liver Foundation and as CEO for the Tennessee Kidney Foundation.  Ms Davidson is a strong leader with over 25 years of expertise in Business Management, Non-Profit Management, Human Resources, Finance and accounting, Sales and Communications, Advocacy, Operations, and Strategic Planning. She is a leader that understands collaboration and the importance of strategic partnerships.   She mentors several smaller nonprofits in town and recently served as a board member of Vox Grata.  Ms. Davidson received several Salute to Excellence awards for her management of the Tennessee Kidney Foundation when she was building patient services funding.  She enjoys music, walking, and playing pickleball. Ms. Davidson also serves as a standardized patient for some of the medical colleges in Middle Tennessee.   This is her way of helping to improve communication between future doctors and patients.
