Dr. Frank Boehm, Parks — Middle East Peace…Is It Possible?

Did you know that there have been five previous attempts at peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians? So what must happen to have peace in the Middle East? Is it even possible?

Dr. Frank H. Boehm joined the Vanderbilt Medical Center faculty in 1972 and rose to the rank of professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1981. He became the first Director of Maternal Fetal Medicine in 1978 and served in that capacity for the next 26 years. Dr. Boehm then served as Vice Chairman of the Department from 2008 to 2016. He has authored over 250 scientific papers and four books. He has received numerous teaching awards at Vanderbilt.  In 2014 he received the Human Relations Award from Community Nashville.

Dr. Boehm also served as the chair of the Vanderbilt Medical Center Ethics Committee for 15 years.  In the Nashville community, he served on the Harpeth Hall School Board and as a Commissioner/Chairman of Metro Social Services. In the Jewish community, Dr. Boehm has had numerous involvements, including serving as President of the Jewish Federation of Nashville and Middle Tennessee from 1999 to 2002 and the Jewish Foundation from 2003 to 2005.
