David Weil II, JD and MBA — CSR and Rotary International Ideals

Do corporations have any responsibilities besides making money, such as contributing to a better world? Is there a place for the ideals of Rotary International for “service above” in the corporate world or will be at loggerheads for eternity?

David Weil II, JD, will give us his thoughts on whether or how corporations can contribute to the social fabric of our communities.

David Weil currently serves as the Vice President – Legal for G&G Anesthesia PLLC and its affiliates and as a consultant for Christian Care Ministries Inc.

Weil serves as a full-time Assistant Professor teaching Business Law for Tennessee State University, Business Law – Adjunct Instructor teaching Business Law at the Belmont University Massey College of Business and is also on the Adjunct Faculty of the new Frist College of Medicine.  Weil teaches Business Law as an Executive in Residence for the historically black Tennessee State University Executive MBA Program with TSU President Glenda Baskins Glover.  He teaches several undergraduate and graduate courses online for the Healthcare Administration and Management Program, Skinner School of Business and Technology, Trevecca Nazarene University.  These courses include the undergraduate course of Culture and Ethics and the graduate courses of Innovative Models for Population Health Management, Healthcare Reform and Alternative Healthcare Solutions, Healthcare Law and Legal and Regulatory Issues in Healthcare.

Weil serves as the Chair and served three (3) years as a Vice Chair for the American Health Law Association Business Law and Governance Practice Group.  Before that, he served as Chair of the AHLA Public Health Systems Affinity Group.  He actively volunteers for the American College of Healthcare Executives of Middle Tennessee.  He served as Treasurer and now serves as the Second Vice President and member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands,
